Directly in the national park these cross-country skiing trails are marked:
- circuit around the Kráľova hora hill (Mlynky),
- circuit in the area Dobšinská Ľadová Jaskyňa (Stratená).
On these trails, the movement of skiers and a snow groomer vehicle is allowed during the time from one hour after sunrise until one hour before sunset. In the national park territory, besides marked cross-country skiing trails the movement of skiers is allowed on marked hiking trails as well.
DOBŠINSKÁ ĽADOVÁ JASKYŇA

Groomed skiing area - shorter circuits are located within the longest one so that each of them takes up a certain part of the larger circuit. The trails are maintained and marked and there length is 2.4; 2.8; 3.5 and 4.5 km. In the start and finish area, visitors have a summer house where they can store their belongings, wax their skis or just take a rest.
GRAJNÁR
The forest sport compound is located 18 km south from the town of Spišská Nová Ves.

Under favorable snow conditions, there are 6 marked cross-country ski circuits with the length of 3; 4; 5; 6; 7.3 and 8 km respetively with recreational areas and views. Parking, entrance and exit in the saddle Grajnár.
SKI CENTRUM MLYNKY - BIELE VODY

Regularly maintained cross-country trails in the picturesque countryside of the southern part of the Slovak Paradise. The tracks are also suitable for beginners. The longest route is the 12 km long circuit of Kráľová hora Hill, which connects four parts of the village: Prostredný Hámor, Mlynky, Havrania Dolina and Biele Vody. Marked trails: circuits with the length of 1, 2, 3, 6 and 12 km. Parking is possible under the Mlynky - Gugel Ski Resort near the motorway or in the village of Biele Vody near the local school.
NOVOVESKÁ HUTA – VOJTECHOVA SAMOTA
In the part of Spišská Nová Ves called Novoveská Huta district there is an educational mining themed trail is marked in the direction of Vojtechova samota Hut. Its red (17.3 km) and blue (4.1 km) trails are suitable for cross-country skiing. Entry and exit: Novoveská Huta - square
NOVOVESKÁ HUTA – MURÁŇ
A marked cross-country ski trail with the length of 20.5 km leads from Novoveská Huta ( part of Spišská Nová Ves) to the the Muráň locality and back. Entry and exit: Strážanská Huta (part of Novoveská Huta).
SPIŠSKÁ NOVÁ VES – AIRPORT
Under good snow conditions, there is a 3 km long cross-country ski trail available at the sport airport, groomed according to the current snow situation. Entrance and exit to the area are on Letecká street.
SPIŠSKÁ NOVÁ VES - SCHULERLOCH
Under favorable snow conditionshis this multifunctional area offers a marked and groomed 4 km circuit . Arrival and departure point is Sadová street near BMZ. The track leads through fields, around a stream, next to a water reservoir and gardening area into a valley that is located next to the shooting range in Schulerloch.

HRABUŠICE, PODLESOK, LETANOVCE
An undemanding 10 km circuit starts at the car park in the Podlesok tourist centre near Hrabušice village and leads through the locality of Malé pole, across the bridge over the Hornád river, under Zelená hora to Letanovský mlyn and back. The artificially lit track, 1.1 km long, is also located directly in the Podlesok caravan park. In Podlesok Autocamping there is an 1.1 km long track with artificial lighting.
PORÁČ – ZÁVADKA
Village of Poráč, located 18 km from Spišská Nová Ves, together with its surroundings, offers approximately 24 km long cross-country skiing circuit in the direction of Závadka village. The beginning is at the crossroads Pod Svinským hrbom. The trail is marked.

Mlynky
6 machine-groomed cross-country skiing circuits are available in the village Mlynky. Length of trails: circuit around the Kráľova hora hill – 10 km, circuits in the Cross-country Skiing Area – 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 km. Start of trails: ski resort Mlynky - Biele Vody, start for the 10 km circuit also in parts Mlynky - Prostredný Hámor and Mlynky - Havrania Dolina.

Grajnár
18 km away from the town of Spišská Nová Ves in the direction to Rožňava, there is the Grajnár Forest Sports Area. 6 marked circuits with a length of 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 13 km, with places to rest and viewpoints are at your disposal. Trails are machine-groomed. Start and finish: Sedlo Grajnár.

Novoveská Huta – Muráň
Marked cross-country skiing trail with a length of 20,5 km leads from Novoveská Huta (town part of Spišská Nová Ves) to Muráň and back. Start and finish: Novoveská Huta – part Strážanská Huta.

Prielom Hornádu
Cross-country skiing in the Prielom Hornádu canyon along its whole length of almost 12 km is an unforgettable experience in the winter. Start in tourist centre Podlesok (Hrabušice) or Čingov (Spišské Tomášovce / Smižany). Canyon is accessible only when safely frozen surface of the Hornád river.
